Bilingual nanny in Madrid: English and French

English- and French-speaking professionals so your children learn the language in everyday life, through play and at home.

Nanny caring for a child in a Madrid family home

Learning a language naturally at home

Children learn a language more easily when it is part of their routine: play, snacks, stories or bath time. A nanny who speaks to them in English or French offers natural daily immersion that complements what they learn at school.

At Nanny en Casa, we select English- and French-speaking nannies with childcare experience, many of whom are trained in early childhood education.

How we select a bilingual nanny

  • An initial conversation with the family about the language, children's ages and goals.
  • A search for English- or French-speaking professionals with childcare experience.
  • An interview in the language to assess their level and how they communicate with children.
  • Verification of references and experience, and checking the negative certificate from the Central Register of Sexual Offenders.
  • Support with the contract and registration, follow-up after the nanny joins and a replacement guarantee, with conditions agreed individually with each family.

How much does a bilingual nanny cost in Madrid?

For full-time work, a bilingual nanny's salary ranges from the statutory minimum wage (€1,221 gross per month in 14 payments in 2026) to around €1,500 net per month, depending on the schedule, language, experience and number of children.

Our fees are agreed individually according to the type of search. We explain them without obligation during our first conversation.

Frequently asked questions

At what age should children start with a bilingual nanny?

The earlier they start, the more natural it feels: from infancy, children become familiar with the sounds of the language. But at any age, a bilingual nanny helps improve understanding and confidence.

Does the nanny always speak English or French with the children?

We agree this with each family. Most commonly, the nanny speaks to the children only in her language so that the immersion is consistent.

Which languages do you offer?

How do you check language proficiency?

We conduct part of the interview in the language and assess both proficiency and how the nanny communicates with children.

Can the nanny be live-in or live-out?
